BERLIN : Michael Ballack says he is more than willing to curb his attacking intentions to help give hosts Germany a much-needed defensive midfield shield at the World Cup.
The captain is the best goal-scorer in the current German team with 31 goals in 66 internationals but said:

"If we all power forward, we could lose. We need a good mixture and to find the right balance."

Honestly, depsite my support for the hosts Deutschland at the World Cup this year, I never quite liked Ballack. Personally, I have something against World-class players, preferring the likes of experienced Bernd Schneider, challenge-meeting Miroslav Klose or young-blood raw talents Podolski&Schweinsteiger. Even with rival teams, my favourite players rank with new faces like Kaka and Torres. I have bad impressions of World-class players, mostly from EPL matches and people like Becks, Owen and Raul, who have all over-seasoned their fame.

But when I read this article, something about Ballack really impressed me.
I began to realize his bigness as Germany's captain.
Everyone knows he is the best player on the team, and the most brilliant scorer they have. Yet he was willing to fall back and play a more defensive role, retreating from the liemlight and supporting his team and nation above his own pride and glory.
As a captain, it's never really easy to stop playing a big role and just begin to serve your team in another area that the general public don't hold in high regard.

It took a lot out of Ballack to understand and accept Germany's weakness of a poor defense, but it took real heart and attitude as a Captain to give up his much-coveted position and give his all to where his team needed it the most.

He put the dream and the vision and the team before his own desires.

It reminded me of what Pastor said during her sermon.
Michael Ballack had the Eleazar spirit!

He stood for his team, despite losing popularity.
He stood in centrefield, rising up to the ocassion.
He defended his country's chances at a win.
He slew the pride in his heart and made a decision.
He was prepared to do all he could to serve his team and country.
He laid down his all.

Although he doesn't know God, I see an attitude in Ballack that I admire.
He is a man of BIGness.
I'm proud of Germany (:

but woots! feeling charged up now. I feel like i've broken through to a new level of faith man! i tell you, holidays are totally the best times for breakthrough. every breakthrough i've had happens during the holidays (:

haha, it's so great to see people rising up and beginning to really serve, adminsitrate, get on fire and refine their character.
it's even better to be able to learn and grow even more.

most of all, i love my God.

what Pastor said today was great. We are the new generation, and we will not run back to our old traditions. New revelations in Him! (:
i don't care what people say. i don't care about the opinions of religious people, or people of the world.
i only know that i want to serve God, impact schools, nations, generations.
i want to make history, not with my name but with His.
some people think the vision is too big. i think it's too small!
i wanna see people giving their lives to Christ, serving in church, lives changed ad with a purpose. People who know the love of God-- that's what its all about.

Pastor preached that God uses things that are despised to shame those who are too proud.
i think its really true. From all i've seen, those people who despise us and what we do never make an impact.
God is a God of miracles, and faih activates the miracle.
